What to Check During Fittings Dimension Inspection? firstly we shall meet the common dimension standard of steel pipe fittings.
ASME B16.9: This standard covers factory-made wrought steel butt-welding fittings for sizes NPS 1/2 through NPS 48. It includes requirements for dimensions, tolerances, materials, testing, and markings.
ASME B16.11: This standard focuses on forged fittings, including socket-welding and threaded fittings, for sizes NPS 1/8 through NPS 4. It specifies dimensions, tolerances, materials, and marking requirements.
ASTM A234/A234M: This specification covers wrought carbon steel and alloy steel fittings of seamless and welded construction for use in pressure piping systems. It includes requirements for dimensions, materials, testing, and marking.
MSS SP-75: This standard covers high-strength, low-alloy steel butt-welding fittings for sizes NPS 2 through NPS 48. It provides requirements for dimensions, tolerances, materials, testing, and marking.
ISO 4144: This standard specifies requirements for stainless steel threaded pipe fittings for general-purpose applications. It covers dimensions, tolerances, materials, testing, and marking.
