C&N Delivers Aluminum Fin Tube Support Boxes for Korean Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger Project

C&N Group has completed and shipped an order of aluminum fin tube support boxes to a customer in South Korea, supplied alongside a batch of finned tubes for an air-cooled heat exchanger application. The support boxes were manufactured in Aluminum 1050 and sized to match the finned tube specification of the order, protecting the fin sections through packing, export shipment, and on-site installation.

Order Summary

Finned tubes are built by winding a thin aluminum strip around a bare steel tube to increase surface area for heat transfer, which makes the fin layer thin and easily deformed under contact load. On air-cooled heat exchanger projects, tube bundles are handled repeatedly — through fin winding, packing, export shipment, and final erection at the tube sheet — and any crushed or dented fin section can reduce heat-transfer performance and affect incoming inspection at the job site. The fin tube support box addresses this directly: fitted over the fin at each contact point, it takes the load onto its own rigid aluminum shell instead of the fin itself, keeping the finned tube bundle intact from the factory floor to final installation.

C&N Group sizes each support box against the actual finned tube specification of the order — base tube OD, fin OD, and fin type — and supplies them together with the finned tube shipment, so customers receive a matched set rather than a generic add-on part.
